I gazed at a flower growing in a sidewalk crack between a wall. My eyes amazed me at this fragile thing so small. How it did spread its petals in lovely bloom, and all it asked for was a little room. As it grew each day unaware of sadness or strife, It never new of pain or sin that man creates in life. Growing while man continues quest for material gain, There grew that flower, waiting for a little rain. It's lacking in selfishness, and beauty it freely gives, and in spite of pollution, it freely lives. So when we are no longer a part of this earth, who has really won? Man with his material possessions, or that simple flower in the sun? |

Gemini, don't we all wish to be just that flower of your poem... well done... Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, then speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |
