I hope you like it love, and that it makes you smile

An Ode To SEA

There's a friend of mine she's so good and nice
She's an enchantress mixing words with spice
Very good at writing of the sea and it's flow
Magic she weaves of a heart and it's inner glow
There are those who think she could be Circe
That enchantress of Homers who had no mercy
She turned Odysseus men into wretched swine
And made the poor fool for his homeland pine

She's not at all as wicked, as Circe is our SEA
No she's very sweet, well at least she is to me
We laugh at the same kind of jokes and things
Our SEA has a very special song that she sings
It tells of her never-ending eternal sacred quest
Of her shining soul and of whom she loves best
Her words ripple and flow with a fluid soft wave
All her poems I mark as something special to save

As for temper, yes my friend SEA she has got one
But mostly I've only ever seen in her sparkly fun
She's always laughing, bright and so very funny
And she's told everyone that I'm as soft as a bunny
Not that I mind being called Ms Mushy Marsha
It's cute being likened to an emotional sticky plaster
Still my sweet friend who's known to all as SEA
I've re-christened her to that michievous witch Circe

Circe, I'm so pleased, you could say I'm cock a hoop. Well I did promise, now if anyone wants to do an ode to Mushy Marsha, don't hold back.
Be good

Jwesley, I expect you're safe from her turning you into a pig, well as long as you don't cross her.
Okay what are grits, surely you don't mean gravel. Because that sounds a very strange taste.

Take care

Marsha, a beautiful poem for the lovely PoetLadySea, and I too have grown fond of her style of verse she expresses on screen.

It's so sweet to read how this framework of Poets has formed such treasured friendships.

CoCo, she is isn't she, wonderful poet, charming company, and she understands my strange sense of humour. Thanks for reading, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I enjoyed writing this one, and I think it came through.

Mark my friend, thank you, and am I thankful Circe didn't have a name that didn't rhyme, because then I'd have been really stuck. Thankfully since I'm a simple soul she does, phew what a relief.
Glad you liked it. Maybe I ought to set a challenge to make a poem out of my whole name, no I'd better not, it would gone on forever.   I'm happy with the ones I've got, more than happy, Kethry did one for me too.
Take care

Circe, I'm glad this brought a smile or two,
Which of course is what it was meant to do
I checked out the legend of that witch Circe
And Sea she was a stunner who didn't need mercy
Her hair was very wild and her eyes were vivid
Still with those pigs about she may have been livid
She seems to have been used to getting her own way
Nothing really like you I think I would truly say
But I'm pleased to give you a glowing reference
For Circe's company Mushy has a certain preference.

Glad you like it love

Ethome, thank you very much, I'm pleased you like it, I do appreciate it, truly.
Take care
