Let find it's path , expressive thought
in brevity of line .
Though distances between are vast
intent has need to shine .
Neglect percieved glows falsely bright
against the light of truth ,
as time conspires to steal away
what freely gave in youth .

A graven image carved in stone
would speak too late , my mind .
Of thanks for all the kindness shown
lest I become inured ,
by toil spent at substances cost
incurred along the way ,
my fervent hope , perhaps not lost
you'll find these words some day .

And there-by know such gifts bestowed
were taken to the heart ,
that though a-field may yet still yield
them back in some small part .
These eyes have come to realize
though fools may have their day ,
no kindness is without reward ,
a jewel that finds it's way ...

to rest upon deserving brow
crost time as if t'were not.
As evidenced in words that now
may say what I forgot.

Dr. Moose, I find your writing mentally invigorating, and this is certainly no exception. You've the skill of a natural craftsman and the perception of an artist when it comes to the written word. This is such an admirably poetic way to express gratitude.

DrMoose~

I'm always inspired after a read of your thoughts -

'my fervent hope , perhaps not lost
you'll find these words some day .'

'no kindness is without reward ,
a jewel that finds it's way ...'

'As evidenced in words that now
may say what I forgot.'

I will take these thoughts to heart
for reflective pondering.

da Moose Won with this one.  I've got a suspicion that someday the expressive words will be heard.
