He Said and She Said

(he said)
"I really like you a lot
even though we have known each other
for only a few days
and someday we might get married
but not right away."
(she said)
"Hey don't ever forget we've only just met
and so far have only done a lunch or two
and I have enjoyed sharing the pleasure
of some movies with you.
Take it easy my friend and let the feeling sink in."
(he said)
"Oh I didn't mean we should get married right away.
You know in six months or even a year
we'll see where things go from here.
What do you think about that my dear?"
(she said)
"Perhaps, but don't push it, go real slow and give me some time to give it a stay or go."
(he said)
"Sounds good to me, I sure hope we can give it a good go
cause I like you a lot you know.
By the way do you like me?"
(she said)
"What do you think?"
(he said)
"Wait a minute that was a question begging for an answer."
(she said)
"Would I call someone I didn't like?
No!  I'd simply tell him to take a hike."
(he said)
"What do you think?"
(she said)
"Why do we talk in rhyme all the time?"
(he said)
"The answer to that question is very clear my dear.
Of course only a poet would know it."

Hope I haven't driven anyone crazy reading this...just thinking about the importance of communication in a relationship...how we say really silly things sometime and we need to talk things over and become friends...communication is very significant in the development of a relationship..sometimes one or the other is very emotionally unavailable and we only seem to be talking in circles or to ourselves.  Or is this just me?

I think we've all spent time on that merry-go-round! Great poem, James!

James, it's just you. (KIDDING!!) I love what you're saying here, that is, if I'm "hearing" you correctly!

Seriously, James, you are absolutely right. Communication must be carefully minded in order to attain true understanding with another. I like the way you've written this, and sorry for the teasing. (((hugsforyou)))

James, I love this, as for communication you're asking the wrong person, I work in communication, spend all my time talking and not in circles either. Still you are right there's a lot of lost links in the communication chain.
Great poem James I really do like this one.
Take care

Yep. A good description of a silly and sometimes odd communication.

Thank you Victoria, Denise, Rainydays, Marsha, Amy, Sven, temptress and Paula.
Rainydays I love teasing unless a kiss is involved...then I want the real thing.
Paula I would say I have been guilty of that...but I also am a good listener and I listen to what my heart is telling me...James
