A moments wile

In a hand full of minutes
We write in the dust.
Unstable as water
But do as we must.

And the water grow flowers
In the shadow of breath
In the land of darkness
Where there is no death.

And the deep falls into the deep
But it does not fall asleep
As you think in your heart
Just so you will reap.

Great men are not always wise
And wise men not always great
But for me the fire burns
For I dream in this state.

I will finish the apple
Hang my heart obsolete
And know that I ate
All the bitter and sweet.

a fire burns alright...
and theres nothing obsolete about your heart ...
this is a another deep reflective piece from you Sy-guy ...
we can learn much when we walk in your poetic mind ...
i wish to do it barefoot

In my time I have flown on butterlfy wings
and heard the songs that angels sing
I have walked across oceans on bridges of love
I have seen forgiveness touch down on wings of dove
I have dined at the tables of king and queens
and I have read the words that prophets dream

A wise man once told me not so long ago
be true to who you are and reap what you sow
All things come to pass ... its our destiny and fate
and its been said good things come to those who wait
Take the good with the bad... the bitter with the sweet
live each day with no regret ... and your life will be complete

pick the golden apple ... wisdom found in its core
know youve done your best ...no one can ask of you ... anything more

jm

see what you teach us thru your poetry...
thank you for that
later-wise and great-gator

Your muse, Sir, is never miserly, nor are you, with all of your gifts...I for one am richer with all that you share...

I would rather be silent and write, then speak loudly and be bound.

Seymour~

When life delivers us to the tree,
we partake to fill our being.
When we've eaten our fill,
life asks us to give to others.
You have given freely of the talent
of your sup.
Thank you always for the golden apples.

*Hugs*, sweet poet.

JM,
I've heard of barefoot in the park
But not barefoot in my mind.
Your answers are like a nightly lullaby
That truly make me sigh. Sy

Karilea,
To share with you is the heart of my pleasure. *L*

Marge,
I have eaten of the apple
Some bitter some sweet
There is some bitter
But you are the sweet. *L*

Elizabeth,
By writing in the extremes I find the middle.
Love Sy
