A moments wile In a hand full of minutes We write in the dust. Unstable as water But do as we must. And the water grow flowers In the shadow of breath In the land of darkness Where there is no death. And the deep falls into the deep But it does not fall asleep As you think in your heart Just so you will reap. Great men are not always wise And wise men not always great But for me the fire burns For I dream in this state. I will finish the apple Hang my heart obsolete And know that I ate All the bitter and sweet. |

nicely written Seymour.. it would be nice if life could be all sweet..as long as it is not all bitter i guess.. Enjoyed ~Victoria~ A poem is never finished, only abandoned. - Paul Valery (1871-1945) |

Your muse, Sir, is never miserly, nor are you, with all of your gifts...I for one am richer with all that you share... Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, then speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

Seymour~ When life delivers us to the tree, we partake to fill our being. When we've eaten our fill, life asks us to give to others. You have given freely of the talent of your sup. Thank you always for the golden apples. *Hugs*, sweet poet. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

JM, I've heard of barefoot in the park But not barefoot in my mind. Your answers are like a nightly lullaby That truly make me sigh. Sy Karilea, To share with you is the heart of my pleasure. *L* Marge, I have eaten of the apple Some bitter some sweet There is some bitter But you are the sweet. *L* Elizabeth, By writing in the extremes I find the middle. Love Sy |
