Listening to every heart

deliberate contemplations

you have escaped my touch and left me wanting
and yet your image is there within, haunting
like a tease you were, slightly taunting

you first ran in, then you ran away
laid loving words down, but didn't stay
and all the while, you relished in your way

sore am I, this weary mind bereft of soul
like the breaker's water once it reaches shoal
I'll not reach a finish, for you've moved the goal

and yet I cannot stop

because I discern if I devote my eyes to sleep
you will slither in but not on soft feet
and into your quagmire, I'll submerse deep

you are a most unrelenting stranger, your kiss is wine
and you leave me to stagger, most of the time
my pursuit of you is the reach of the blind

and yet I cannot stop

without you, I become desolate, distraught
when you are here, it's my breath that is caught
and when briefly we meet, the words are then sought

and found

so I will not stop
although you will escape
only to come again

my muse.

I would rather be silent and write, then speak loudly and be bound.

Kari, another triumph love, this is beautiful, really it is. I love this one, another inspired beauty. I'm wildly clapping
and if you were close enough I'd be leading the cheers of encore, bravo well done. But since I'm not, just imagine it, and make loads of noise because I'm never quiet.

OH SUN...this is SO COOL...
what an awesome premise...yes..this is exactly how it it..
the dance we do with our muse ...
ever fleeting...ever challenging...
your unique rhyme pattern made the cadence dance ...
and the whole essence of the poem is captivating ...
excellent writing K,
very cool indeed

A muse is torture sometimes and yet where would we be without it?  I love it!

over the rain-green grass,
and the sun drips honey.""

Marsha, there have been those that cheer me on...but you are taking up the front as the leader of the squad, thank you so VERY much...

Janet Marie, when I see your name, I know there will be true comment behind...you do not just read, you inspire...thank you my dear...

Kathleen, it is always so, and I see that you agree...

Beautifully done, Karilea! Those muses can be little buggers, can't they?

Fellow K  - I quite enjoyed this little journey...

most sensual...most eloquent

This is how the wind shifts:
Like a human, heavy and heavy,
Who does not care.

Fellow K...thank you for your thoughts.

Compassion, welcome to Passions! Such an honor it is to be placed in one's library!  Know that I will continue to look for your name on posts, in posts, and of your own...

and I do know for a fact, you will find many here that help spread the sunshine...{~,^}
