BLEEDERS!

Obsessive eyes, deviant course,
She rides the night with no remorse,
In search, a victim to inlay
The stare of Death, then glide away…

In thankful pause, stopping to feed
On terror-stricken souls in need
Of something never graced, nor held
In withered hand or heart, compelled…

To reach a higher devout plane
‘Twixt Man and God and Life through vain
Attempts to resurrect the past
With mislaid guilt that never lasts.

And, woe, the angelic beasts sweep
Down from their higher, haughty keep
To fall upon the vanquished prey
That Death may live another day.

While Grief, that vile forespent prayer,
Slowly enshrouds this demon lair;
And echoes in the hallowed cry
Of he, the man, who hones the lie…

Suffering none the torrid shame
Or sacrament of truth in name,
In whims and whines of spirits fled
From Passion’s Heart
, or Slayer’s Bed! -

From those who long for just one day
More in an Eden passed away,
But fear return to the hell-wrought
Decay of dream that went for naught!

And, yet, we ride this carousel
That spins these webs we know so well
Will only trap us in the lust
Of those who feed upon our trust!

And oh, how quickly, we forget,
compression
of a coal's cool sweat--
the fracture of a diamond, made--
compounded--
How?
we are amazed...

with just a simple
rhyme of him?
To ask, to ask,
to beg of him...
to beg of rhyme
to wonder, when...

We wait.
Allied.
Remember when...

We loved.
We lied.
We were, once then....

Too late.
We lied.
We were not then.

Welcome to Passions Michael!!!

You write like an old friend of mine... though maybe a little better. Don't know whatever happened to him. Aww, who cares? You write better anyway - he was always depressed and boooooring! *yawn*

This rocks m'bro - I know you wrote this for me -

From those who long for just one day
More in an Eden passed away,
But fear return to the hell-wrought
Decay of dream that went for naught!

Yep.

serenity, you may have meant to post that reply separately but I found it very interesting nonetheless.

Kethry, as well as possible...

Chris, your friend sounds a little lethargic to me...  maybe he's just sleeping his life away... shhh! - please don't wake him while he's dreaming...

PdV, true friends are a rarity this day and age - always honored to hear from one such as you.

Lucky, long time no see - glad you enjoyed.

Brian, your compliment means much to me.

Thank you all for the kind words...

Michael

Sy, No neglect here - I just haven't been around much...    I see your still writing wonderful verse though, very glad for that.

Irish Rose, Good to see you again also, glad you enjoyed.

Cerenity, Insomnia seems to be the spark of most my poetry... LOL

Kit, You read into my poetry probably much further than most would care to.  It's always nice to know someone is hearing what you are truly saying...    TY

... and thank you all for the compliments.
