What is this you want to know If I ever heard of an afterglow I knew better than to say NO She says she wants IT tonight And I had better get it right Anything to keep from having a fight First on my list was the hardware store Balladeer is always sitting outside the door Asking him if he ever heard of an afterglow He scratched his chin and said real slow I’m not positive but I heard there is a light Installed in the yard that puts out a glow come night Proud of myself I stop off at the pub carrying my bag There on the barstool sat my old pal Toerag When he ask me what I had bought I told him about the new knowledge I had sought And how my friend Balladeer had set me straight Laughing so hard he fell from his stool landing on a crate I’m sorry friend but a light has nothing to do with afterglow Balladeer is playing a game or he really doesn’t know It’s all about knowing how to make love just right Next time you see Balladeer tell him to go fly a kite I’ll tell you how it’s done if you buy me a brew Then you’ll know all I’ve learned when I am through He told me that women don’t like you to go slow Hurry up and get it over is their motto Afterglow comes from within because when I’m through They turn red and can’t speak believe me its true Armed with my new knowledge I rushed to my house I wanted to show I know about afterglow to my spouse I did all that Toerag had said Her mouth flew open her face turned red As she threw me out of our bed Balladeer was right about the light It puts out a real nice glow While I sleep on the patio |

LOL...If ya wanted to know about afterglow ya should've asked me. My 1000th post was all about it, hehe. This was too fun. I loved it. Thanks for the chuckles. Juls |

ROFL!!!! This is great!!! That Toerag always did pride himself on giving a woman the best ten seconds of her life! Nah, I was just kidding about the light, Suzanne. I know what afterglow is. I read a book by it every night after....well, you know |

juliet_2u: I did read your poem and it was great. Poet DV: Thank you for reading Suzanne: Yes when men talk to each other they get it all wrong. But at least they try. Balladeer: Maybe we should change Toerags name to 10secToe. Mr Yates: I'm so glad I could entertain you. On behalf of my husband I have to admit this is nothing like him. He told me to tell this. |

Hope you don't live in the north country because that sleeping on the patio thing would really douse any afterglow this time of year.....this poem is a result of too much information unclarified....but it sure was fun to read...ethome |
