searching for don juan
in a corner or crack
searching for the power
to bring you back

searching for the strength
to make you mine once more
searching for the love
I threw to the floor

on hands and knees, I crawl
looking for the love I tossed aside
eyes closed in an effort to allow myself
any chance I have to hide

a blind fool I must be
to never see my heart
an ass of the worst sort
I still refuse to start

hands bruised and raw
eyes moist with tears
knees bleeding and swollen
my mind still full of fears

a love that can never be saved
with a heart that can't be healed
so I'm searching for don juan
to have this hole inside sealed

searching for a way to end this pain
searching for a way to fix my heart
searching for a way to calm my fears
searching for don juan to make a start

in this life,
1. nothing is free,
2. nothing is easy,
3. nothing is perfect,
4. nothing is real,
5. nothing is... anything at all...

and if don juan
were to come
and seal the hole
would you be whole
to then again come
and be the one...

oops, sorry, Desperado, this just popped out....the pain speaks for itself...you brought it to life well.

Wow, James. I certainly didn't expect this one.  When I saw the title I thought it was going to be the one you partially wrote the other night. I have to say, it was pretty intense. I had to read it twice, and I still don't think it's enough. Good job.  Now back to read it again.

This piece is very intense, very sincere, and very emotional...and it all equals to be a great piece. Take care,

thanks guys.  I was searching for something to mark how I felt and this was as close as I could come out with right now.

sunshine - sometimes spontaneous poetry is the best sort of poetry.  you need never apologize for what comes out from my work.  I'm just blessed that I got a chance to see a little bit of it.  thank you.

saxoness - sorry if the title mislead you just a bit.  I started to add on to it and then realized that what I had I couldn't work with so I redid it several times over and now it looks nothing like what it was.  I've read it about a dozen times and still it feels like I'm missing something in it's meaning when I'm reading it, yet I don't know what it could be.  thank you though.

the pain
when I lost my grip
and I hit the floor
