You ask why I don’t talk,
Do you really not know why?

Have you not been sober in the
Orgies of quarrels?
Have you not lived in the
Neighbourhood of false hope?
Have you not sojourned in the
Desert of denial?
Have you not feed on the
Food of lies and pretence?
Have you not been bruised by the
Hand of neglect?
Have you not been raped by the
Promises that were never kept?

You ask why I don’t talk,
Do you really not know why?

PS. My homepage is now up and running I'd be grateful of your comments.

Thanks
Jon

Poetry is expression, and even though sometimes we don't want to talk, it does come out in one way, and I enjoyed this. It was sad, yes, but needed.

and the sun drips honey.""

Jon-
   WOW...what a powerful poem you've penned.
so much depth and pain in these words...
   and you've expressed it perfectly.

But the most important thing is to talk, and you've communicated here very powerfully with your poem.  I checked out your web-site. Excellent work. And I know who you are--a very talented poet!  Enjoyed very much.
