The world is a stage and we are all actors the game is life, we play a part doctor, lawyer, husband wife. Take the stage put on a show, hide behind smiles what we don't want the world to know. Curtains drop lights go dim, step off the stage just to do it again. Leave the stage hope we don't fall, wake up to morning the next curtain call. On the wings of words our spirits fly, and our souls are free. |

A sad view of life, I'm afraid....we should relish the excitement of being on stage more. Many people never got the chance to perform this is well written.... |

Excellent poem; the images evoked are a bit sad though; the world and society requires us to play roles. Pepper "I honor the place in you, that when you are in that place, and I am in that place in me, we are in the same place" Ram Dass |

It's sad that people think of life as a routine. but each day is a gift. Never the same...always...always something different...life is. think of the other alternative. I'd rather have a boring day, thank you. Tossing words like wishful coins into the deep well of an open heart. R. fox |

all the world's a stage, and the men and women, merely players Wonderful poem GS, I've found that it's not so lonely on the stage as long as you've got someone in the audience. . .
