fragrance of rose fills the air
one hundred candles glowing
i pray before this night is through
true love i will be knowing

my heart is doing somersaults
impatient from the waiting
sweet promise of a night with you
my soul's anticipating

harvest moon lights eastern sky
while twinkling stars now hover
all is perfect...scene is set
now enter passionate lover

a cast of one, i take the stage
as glaring spotlight beams
and once again, my leading man
is only in my dreams

well I dont know exactly what the challenge from Margie was ...
but it inspired a beautiful poem in you.
sometimes the fantasy we create in our mind is much better than the real thing...
lovely writing Vicky...perfect imagery..
I could see it all in my mind..
seems I've had the same fantasy myself...
but then I guess many of us "girls" do.
take care

Very nice!  I didn't see that challenge, and I love roses, I need to go read!

Hi everybody...first of all, i guess i
should explain the challenge.
this was not a posted challenge.
i had mentioned to marge that i am a
sucker for a good challenge, so she
more or less called my bluff...lol.
she supplied me with the rhyming words...

            knowing
            glowing
            waiting
            anticipating
            lover
            hover
            beams
            dreams

and she told me to run with them...no
particular form or style...just whatever
came out of my pen, and this was the result.
feel free to accept the challenge as well.
i'm sure marge won't mind, and i would love
to see what you come up with.

Denise-

   coded message...lol.

dg-
   so...let me get this straight...does
that mean you like this one?? lol
   thank you my friend.
   really glad you like.

Janet Marie-
so right you are...often the fantasy
is much better than the real thing...
but i'm hoping and believing that's
   not ALWAYS the case.
   thanks so much, my friend.
   glad you enjoyed.

Irish Rose-

Vicky~
Me again ... just reading the lovely responses.

You did a superb job with those little rhymies.
And I would be tickled to see anyone else
come up with something on it.

Have a go at it, friends.
