The roses you sent are still in full bloom
You're killing me softly in all that you do
Black velvety roses that fill up my room
You're killing me softly in all that you do
Black as death's colour that fills me gloom
You're killing my softly in all that you do

The song that you wrote me is still in my mind
You're killing me softly in all that you do
The words and the music, to the world deaf and blind
You're killing me softly in all that you do
I know without meaning the song is not kind
You're killing me softly in all that you do

The jewelry you gave me still glitters and glows
You're killing me softly in all that you do
The choker for Christmas is something that shows
You're killing me softly in all that you do
Relationship's ended and after the blows
You're killing me softly in all that you do

This speaks so well of how the memories and the pain linger on long afterwards...so sad and yet so well expressed by your words. I think we write well about pain because those feelings are so strong... be well.

Kethry, this is so well written, and so sad. I can see the whole story, so well. Now that is another reason you are 'par excellance' the simple fact that it is not necessary for you to dot all the I's and cross all the T's. Take care

I liked this one very much, Kethry, it reminded me of a song, but I can't remember who the artist was!

and the sun drips honey.""

"killing me softly with his song,
killing me soffly,
with his song,
telling my whole life with his words
killing me softly. . .
with his song. . . "

glad that I wasn't the only one who thought of this song. . . this is beautiful Kethry. . . the heartache shows. . .

Thanks all,
I was thinking of the song, but the words I was thinking were "he sang as if he lnew me in all my dark despair and then he looked right through me as if I wasn't there"

Kethry This is very sad and comes across more as a chant than a song to me. Not whipping up any spells are we?
Thanks
