On a table dressed for love's own feast, Baked desire and roast passion beast, Sweet kissed muffins, to be passed, And warm love pudding saved for last. Set with silver utensils, with which to dine, Waiting for the moment, so refined. Fork and knife, elegant, will always be Used to sate the hunger in harmony, But a spoon is what I’d chose for us to be, For dessert is best, at least to me. To be dipped in love pudding, what a treat, To be enjoyed by smacking lips, it can’t be beat. Sweet tooth calmed, Satisfied for the day, The feast now over, We’d be spooned together, And tucked away. Tossing words like wishful coins into the deep well of an open heart. R. fox |

I've never got real excited over silver utensils but now that you say it this way I'll pay more attention when I eat. This is very good. I hope I don't get too excited over dessert. |
