      Daylight Savings

If I could capture time, I would,
Before the dawn ensues,
Where I might have a moment more,
Held mesmerized by you.

I drift in thoughts, enraptured by
The silence of the night,
While softly there, you hold me close,
As passions re-ignite.

As time draws on, in rapid flight,
I beg this night to last,
Held captive by your warm embrace,
Aware as seconds pass.

I pray the night to linger on,
Beyond the realm of norm,
To satiate this great desire,
My want and need for more.

And though the moments pass us by,
Before the dawn ascends,
A whispered phrase reminds me that
Our time is not at end.

So hold me close, an hour more,
Within this gift of time,
And love me once again my dear,
Before the clock tower chimes.

as it's given

Excellent!! But here in Arizona, rebels that we are, we don't change our clocks ever! So I'll have to move to get that extra hour..and of course find someone to spend it with!

hmmmm...well i used to think that it
was kinda nice that we don't have to
deal with daylight savings in Arizona...
but, now...i may have to re-think that.
  i'm loving this.

even with the extra hour to have a sleep in my body decided to get up so I had to spend it in a weary daze... time travel can be tiring... ok ranting here.

Kit beautiful poem
I will spend my next extra hour in the way your poem described.

Nicely done. Time always passes on by, but time never passes me by. Glad you caught those precious 60 seconds.
