Love is like a rainbow There in an instant When raindrops meet the sun At the precise angle That creates a prism of colors in the sky It spreads across the blue in glory Each color bleeding into the nest Like each love-filled day Slow, luxurious, content And then it begins to fade From the Earth up to the Heavens The colors leaving no sign of their existence And when it disappears into the sky All that's left Is sadness. |
