A lifetime Has danced across the stage Since you have been gone; An array of stunning brides And handsome grooms; Proud hard working parents; A systems tech, a secretary; A teacher, some artists; A chef, an accountant; A singer and songwriter; Small ones now grown Taking their place Center stage In the continuing saga Begun not so long ago; Each generation crowned with Untarnished brilliant jewels of the past Spectacular to behold; Robed in garments stitched With golden threads of love That will never fray or tatter; In each newborn’s wide-eyed innocence, In each first accomplishment, With each long-awaited dream realized, Another chapter is written in your honor Penned to your memory; And somehow, somewhere, I think you are enjoying the show And so Because of you The show must go on. (For Mom and Dad, In Loving Memory) [This message has been edited by dsnyder (edited 10-28-2000).] |

Denise--a very touching poem and beautiful tribute to your parents...I like to think that those that pass on know what happens to those they leave behind. Hugs! |

Gotta tell you, this one really got to me. What a lovely tribute to the two most important people in our lives. Lends to the belief that it all starts at home. |
