Pale yellow moonlight, spotlighting the path
to our secret hideaway, following blue hair grass
The fragrance of honeysuckle, alive in the air
crossing over the bridge, bougainvillea everywhere
Walking through the trellis,in a distance you can see
blossoms of wisteria, falling down around me
As your shadow draws near, I run into your arms
just the locust singing, I feel your body so warm

Beautiful, Victoria. Sometimes I think I need a place like that.

Victoria,
this is very lovely...
superb imagery...
you packed a lot of images and emotions
in a few perfectly expressed and chosen word.
this "brief" poem makes a lasting impression
impact...intensity
poetry in motion
take care

Hello Victoria, this is indeed a lovely scene you have allowed us to visit. Reminds me, upon first reading, of the gazebo and surrounding grounds in "The Sound of Music"...such an aire of romance! Thank you.
