The Winds…

A soul is lost most everyday
A fragile hold to life’s parade
Do they hear our silent cries?
the winds become their guides

I fear the going of one so dear
It pains to hear my mothers tears
I do not know of when she’ll fly
Oh, Grandma please don’t make her cry…

There’s nothing good about the end
When death will claim another friend
What is the purpose of ending life
And the winds that carry a soul so bright

The soul is but the winds to me
Gone before their ever really seen
A gust a breeze, and then its gone
Beyond the earth where souls belong

I pray that when that day is here
Earth will shine with heavens tears
And bring the warmest air from above,
to carry our dearest on the winds of love.

James Parker Haley.. (c) Oct 27, 2000.

**For My Grandma, who is not doing too well.**

Parker~
This is a gentle, caring write.
Prayers to lift your grandma are sent.

The winds that carry a loved one home
are found in the flutter of angels winging.
Whenever the soft wind blows
Listen ... you'll hear the angels singing.

*Hugs*

James, this is a very heartfelt  and beautifully written poem.  Unfortunitely, we just never know when we will be called home.  However I know that when she goes to that better place, she will leave being very proud of you...

In the light of love above...
Souls of destiny in soft sunset blush
Hearts awaiting wakening
Beat for eternity in a humble hush
In the light of love above

Love,
Marina

Oh, I know this is so hard. I have one posted here way back, called Talks to the Angels, about my Grandma. She is not doing well either, but made quite a surprising recovery since I did that poem. You never know how strong they can be. I hope yours gets better, and stays with you longer. Mine is 93, and yet I don't think she is old enough to die. There is just never a time it's ok to lose someone so special.
Take care.

Such a touching poem.  I can relate very well, both of my grandma's aren't doing well.  One is 95 and the other 89, two very strong women very dear to my heart.  Your wonderful Grandmother and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Martie, Marge, Vicky, SEA, Marina, serenity,
Sandra, Kelly, Ron..... thank you all so kindly. You prayers are very welcome. I lost my other Grandma on Christmas day last year and I'm not ready to lose another one. She is in her late 80's and lives on a farm on the east coast of Canada that is also a home for the elderly. Its a wonderful place in a wonderful environment. Thank you all for your kind words, I hope this wind passes her by.

James I'm so terribly sorry to hear this, your poem touched me deeply and I feel greatly for you at such a time

This my friend I share with you:

A candle burns for you
throughout the day and night
Burning oh so brightly
that you may find the light

My wish is that this candle
will always burn for you
Burning flame of spirits
to help guide you through

Guide you to your next journey
that awaits you in the light
Your eternal peace and happiness
Is now within your sight

So a candle burns for you
Flame flickering gently
in the breeze
God keep the candle burning
that's all I ask...Please

Love Tracie
