Passions howling winds
steal my innocence
forcing tears of hate
from my eyes

imbued with spirit foul
I crouch unseen
In the shadows of
A crowd gone wild

Clutching my tender heart
protecting from the
venom flying
sorrows tears fall

Lies buzz around me
like wasps of deceit
stinging fiery jabs
scarring poet’s soul

Crying out for a voice
whispering in the dark
pleading with you
Why..why..why….

Poet, This, without doubt, is the most compassionate poem I have read from anyone at this forum.

This isn't about you, it's about someone else and your hands are tied!!  What a heart you have, ma'lady and I'm puffed up with pride to finally meet you. Hello, my name is Marcella. (smile)

ps:it doesn't take a doctoral degree to deduce you weren't the victim.  I do respect your thoughts and love your heart!!
