For those of you who don't know, one of my sisters, bet me that I couldn't write a poem that included us all. I did and it was a bit of a send up, for those of you who read it you'll know that I wasn't very complementary to them. My sisters have threatened me with consequences most dire, if I don't say that, the poem does not reflect them at all. And I now post a new poem as penance, and this one does bear a striking resemblence to us all.

Six Sisters

Six little sisters all just as sweet as a lemon
The eldest one Penelope, gave us all a hasty sumon
Come on you brats, you little pests Oh! please do try to be good
Why oh why can't you won't you, do as you know you really should
That's it, moaned she, I'm not staying around for any old tale
So the next day she up and left, simply set her sail

Five little sisters all trying very very hard
The next one Patricia, yelled, hey I'm not your blooming guard
Why you little devils, is it really vital for you to all do that
If you don't stop it now, and I do mean now, I'm off said sister Pat
Oh you think it's funny do you, well you wait and you will see
Oh no! Oh hell, please no that leaves these little angels to me

Four little sisters all being good and very sweet
The next one Marsha said behave my dears for you I've got a treat
If you promise faithfully not to drive me up the wall
I will take you, yes all of you to the big summer ball
But if you are as bad as only you three devils can be
Today's the last time, I mean the last time, you will ever see me

Three little sisters all being really really nice
The next one Francessca said you two are just like spice
A little of you just a tiny little pinch is all very well and fine
But just a touch to much, and you know it true, and no one wants to dine
If you fiends don't immediately, and I do mean now, just just stop it
That's it I've had enough she said I'm off I'm going to hop it

Two little sisters both trying to share the load
The next one Marcelle said No! we'll take this particular road
You just listen to me, don't interupt, why because I'm the one who's older
Oh you little wretch, don't argue now, why do you think you're bolder?
If you keep going on without end, or just the way you are
I warn she said with threat in her tone I'll leave you behind by far

One little sister the last one to leave the nest
Said Melissa, hey I think I'll go in search of all the rest
She searched, she sought them, tracked them down each and every one
Because together the sisters would really have loads of fun
Together the sisters at last being really truly good
Just the way that sisters, real sisters always really should

Dear Marsha,
This is sooo cute! Also, great job writing.   ..but, I especially like it because one of your sisters and I share the same name-look at my user name backwards..
You know I love it.  Take care.  Marcy

Marsha,
Well written, I ceratinly hope all your sisters are now more at ease. I have 9 brothers, I would hate to have to write up on them, it would take me a year for each.

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

Marcelle, well I'm glad you enjoyed it, truly. Actually, when we were growing up it was very much like the poem. Now though all being adults, we all get on fine. We do stick together though so woe betide anyone who gets in the middle of us. Individually we are very different, but we all talk non stop and when we're together, it sounds like bedlam.
Oh and Marcelle, we all have four names each, and that's without the nicknames we've all got. I think my mam, bless her was trying for some sort of record, but I don't actually know what the record was. (Most outrageous names in England I think!   )

Daniel, I'm glad you liked this, coming from a large family you'll know exactly what it's like. Still at least no one could call us boring, no it was never ever that.
Take care

Yes Yes sisters dear, here's the other one, now are you all happy. I admit it, I'm wicked and a devil woman. Marcella, I'm going to wring your neck, just you watch out!!

LOL ... what a wonderful story Marsha! You carried the theme through beautifully, then wrapped it all up into one great big happy family. I loved this, and me thinks your penance has now been paid   ... this was a fun read!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Marge, Oh we do really we do, and all except me, and I sometimes why, all the others are blondes. (I always say they are the example of dumb blondes, which drives them nuts) Thanks, now I wonder where I did come from?

Peppermint, Oh wasn't there just! And not one of us stuck to the code, we were forever borrowing from each other. Which is fine when it was a dress, lippy or money, but boyfriends is taking things a bit far. But yes we do love each other really. Weren't you the lucky one to have brothers, I'd have traded them all in for one older brother.

Kit, I can only hope so, Kit I can only hope so. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm afraid we drove our poor mum, utterly to despair. I'm glad you liked it.

Okay Marcella did you hear that they like it!
They all think you are wonderful, and so do I.    I love you all, and now I'll be good, I promise. xxx
Take care

Marsha, you tell it like it is, then wrap it up with love. Excellently done

Kethry, thank you. Oh the trouble this bet cost me, may I never let the imp of mischief escape again. I'm glad you like it, we are truly a loving family.
