What subtle torture
What a pickle this is
Can we be too obtuse
With the words that we say
Do we do it a'purpose
Because we're afraid
Afraid if we're clearer
We'll drive them away
We just keep circling
Around and around
Speaking in riddles
Bound to confound
Why is life so complex
And why can't I just be direct
I'd like to think its finally clear
But I still see a puzzle here
Someday, perhaps in this lifetime
I'll say the words that make you mine
Dispel the mystery forever
I love you -- you know who you are

If you feel love for this person I would just go ahead and say it.  You never know...of course I don't know the situation that you are in and there may be reasons but if it is felt it does hurt to have to hide it.  I know this to be true.  Wonderful write.

I know who I am...what I dont know is if you are talking to me...and how can she/he if you dont just come right out and tell them? Knowing is better than hoping...

I say take a chance...all you have to lose is a bit of your heart! Loved the poem! Let us know what happens.

Good luck!

Peppermint go for it, jump right on in and tell them exactly how you feel, only way to find out.

I was very clear and told a woman that I didn't want to live without her and she has been very clear in showing me she can live very well without me thank you...perhaps its nice to say what you feel but that does not guarantee success...James

Beautiful thoughts to share with the one who's touched your heart Peppermint ... I hope you do let them know, life is too short to wonder if your love is returned. Very nicely written.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Pepper, on one hand I say go for it, on the other hand I say wait until he indicates, on the other hand I say whoops I've run out of hands. Whatever you decide it was a fantastic poem!
be well

I think people circle to protect themselves and to make sure the situation is in their control...until the time is 'right' - can be sensible or cowardly depending on the perspective...lol

Good luck with whatever happens

if someone loves me I sure want to know it!
This is a tough call though. Loved this one, made me think!
