This poem is dedicated to my sisters, all of whom I love dearly. I'd like to say that this is a sort of send up, because each of them has just a little of this in them. (But they love me really!!)

Six Sisters Or Sick Sisters

I've got a whole tribe of sisters
They're not the sweetest troupe it's true
I used to wish I was a one and only
Once I even tried to leave them at the zoo
You probably think I'm far too harsh
Still I could tell you a tale or two

Shall I start with the eldest one
A whole lot of trouble is she
The thing is she's a dreadful flirt
It happens whenever she's near a he
Penelope is her name, just you recall
If you see her out, please don't call me

Patricia is the next one in age
A terrible temper has sister Pat
She loses it at the least little thing
I've seen her scream out just like that
We've all learnt to clear a path
When Patricia acts like an angry cat

I'm the next on the sister list
Still compared to the others I'm a saint
I know what you're really thinking
That they're not all as black as paint
But I've not told of the other three
Because angels are what they 'aint

Who's the next do I hear you say
Well now you're in for a special treat
Francessca is the one after me
And she, my dear, is anything but sweet
She's colder than ice, and twice as cool
Not the kindest soul you'll likely to meet

Marcelle is the next before the last
A girl who's only measure is her gain
I've told her that love must be free
Still she doesn't need me to explain
Nothing I say will make it clear
That her way only leads to great pain

Who is last but by no means least
The youngest sister is a firebrand
Melissa may sound so sweet it's true
But I warn you, she'll burn your hand
She offers promise, but you watch out
She's as dangerous to you as quicksand

Marsha

Marsha~
What a delightful camraderie of sisters.
Nothing like the bonds that unite sisters.
Or the poet that sets 'em raging ! LOL !

You are very lucky ...
as they let you live long enough to post this.
Watch what you eat the next few days !

Fun !  Fun !  Fun !

LOL ... what a wonderful, diverse troupe Marsha! What a fun read this was. I bet you kept your parents hopping, what a handful. I only have one sister, and she has her moments, but I do love her dearly as well.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Marge, glad you liked it, and it gave you a smile. I'll be fine, I hope! I'll just have to get them all a bigger christmas present, bribery always works well!! Oh and yes they've all threatened me with consequences most dire.

Amie, then you know exactly what they are like, not that I'd really be without them. Francessca, bet me that I couldn't write a poem about us all. Which is where this came from, but I think this isn't at all what she had in mind

Kit, I'm glad you liked it, and pleased it made you smile. Diverse, now that's probably one of the best discripition I've ever heard.
Take care and thanks for reading

Butterflies dc, lets just say that they have their moments, and leave it at that. They do have good points, I know they do, they're always telling me so!! I'm glad it gave you a giggle anyway, because that's the real gift the clan and I give each other.
Take care

Hi I really wanted this languishing as far back as possible. But it seems someone, and I'm just guessing here, Marcella was it you? Anyway, the troupe have asked me to bring this shameful and wicked poem back to the front. Oh my aching ears, they're not really this bad, (Oh yes they are!!)
              I'm sorry, Marsha
