Mummy, mummy, please tell me true What's this world about For you are old and I'm still new I know your words have clout Mummy why do sunsets paint the sky with pretty gold and reds? Where does the tooth fairy fly when you leave your bed? Mummy all these questions are running through my brain. Give me answers, like a star? Or I will go insane? Mummy, do lady-birds cry when their children run away? Mummy dear, how blue's the sky on a rainy day? Mummy can you tell me Before I grow too high How does the wind know where to be? How do angels know to fly? My child, my child, come snuggle down These questions now will keep It's midnight, I'll softly kiss your crown Be quiet, mummy needs to sleep. Growth demands a temporary surrender of security. Gail Sheehy |

I really enjoyed this, I'd give anything to have my daughter be this small again! "When red-haired girls scamper like roses over the rain-green grass, and the sun drips honey."" Laurie Lee Kathleen |

Kethry, A beautiful poem clearly showing the curiosity of children. However, the need to know is important for a child and one must have answers all the time. Children must not grow with doubts of those unanswered questions. Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love (Daniel J D) |
