Just A Number

An email was sent to me,
To reply unto your work.
As soon as I had the time I did,
But that wasn't good enough for you,
And now you don't talk to me you jerk.

As long as I was replying,
Everything was well and good.
Soon I realized though,
That I was just a number.
But sweetie I am not a fool.

So you can take your poems,
(Please know I say this politely with a grin)
And shove them somewhere but not at me,
And continue to play your game,
Of being everybody's friend.

Sure hope this hasn't happened to any of you.

Your feelings are showing quite well.
It is sad when a friend walks away
Just because it doesn't go their way.
Wonderful written poem

Juliet,
So sorry to see that people are so mean. Take it easy.

Alan thanks so much for stopping in.

Hey Victoria...good to see you girlfriend. And yes my new grandbaby is top priority and sometimes you just gotta address these annoying issues...lol. hugs girly

Daniel isn't it amazing how mean people can be sometimes? I just don't get it. Users is probably a better label for them, but it's their problem.

Thanks guys,
Juls

This person sounds like a real loser..must not be a good writer if you have to beg people to read your work!!!! Want me to beat 'em up for you?

So if you were talking before, why don't you confront this person and ask WHY??  That may give you an answer or not.  Hope so.  Nice to see you posting again.

Gotta agree with PdV---I never ask for replies...I figure if they don't reply, well, then, maybe I don't want to know.
Sorry this happened to you.

And sometimes, I just get busy, and I assume that others do too...so...just keep writing, lady...that's what it is about.  Hugs.

Bill thanks so much for your kindness.

Sharon do ya think ya could do that for me. I mean we could do it together, like a tag team thing...lol....thanks girlfriend.

Mark I see no need to ask him anything since I did nothing wrong, well except not get to his stuff fast enough to suit him.

Serenity didn't mean to skip ya girl. Oh and don't worry I would never let something like this stop me from writing. And ya know we all get busy. I wish I had the time to reply to every single poem here but I don't. But you would think a so called friend would cut you some slack...lol.Thanks for stopping in.

This one was shot out of a cannon. Think any more clarity and we may run into it from looking through it.

Very nice

Juls! Way to let those feelings out. It does suck when they won't talk to you unless they want replies. That's no friend!  Hugz to ya girl

yeah people can be mean like this...
using and abusing ....knowing that the other part doesn't even realize that.

glad that have seen that on time, and you are right...your grandchild is more worth, she can use all your love.....and she will abuse you too with her innocent eyes, and heartbreaking smiles.......but I bet that you don't mind that at all....

Take care....Charisma

This certainly is a sad case, but nevertheless... could'nt be more easy of a way for you to find out the true person behind the screen.  Ask yourself one question dear, who is losing out on a friendship?  If somebody sets a price or conditions on their friendship to you, they were'nt a friend to begin with.  Smile    at the fact that they put it in such plain words and view so there is no question or possibly for needless hurting      Nice write.

Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach... Grow, and they will get closer.

Jules, well if that doesn't sound awful. Well if this so called friend never really was, a friend that is. I wish I had time to reply to each and every single poem, because there is so much talent, and so many really gifted writers. Unfortunately for me and I'm sure for most others we have things like life and work to deal with, which doesn't leave as much time as we'd like for the good stuff.
Great poem Juls, really good write.
Take care

You make a valid point here, Juls... It's too bad we can't all be happy with the responses we receive on the merits of our work.  After all, recruiting comments is in essence a masked statement of insecurity, isn't it?  I'm pleased that you won't allow such activities to affect your writing and posting - I hope others feel the same...

Mmmm
This I find very interesting and indeed I can relate, I'll e you about it.
Tracie~
Poeple like that really annoy me, we are all here (most anyway) to have fun to show our poetry to whoever may want to read it and when we get time we read and reply to as many as we can whenever we can. I'm just glad it didn't make you run away

Paula sucks when you lose a game you didn't even know you were in huh?...lol...But ya know, we're really better off to have seen the truth when we did.

Charisma, thanks for all your encouraging words.

Thunder I couldn't agree with you more. Thanks so much for the wonderful and wise words.

Marsha, I too wish I had the time to read and reply to everyone here. But like you said with work and life that's impossible. Thanks for your kindness.

Nan it sure is. And that's so sad to me. thanks for stopping in.

Tracie, I wish these kind of things didn't happen but as we both know they do. And like you, I came here because I found other people like me. People who have to write because it's who they are and they understand that drive. Hugs back to you sweet aussie friend.

Thanks to you all,
Juls
