Unseen Within the shadows of the night Two eyes of love are burning bright Outshining moon and evening star And watching, wanting from afar As rising moonbeams slice the dark And passion yearns to strike a spark Two arms are waiting to embrace A lover in a distant place At midnight’s hour with starlit sky A heart is asking questions why With heartbeat pounding wildly To rhythms of the churning sea Somewhere a face reflecting glows Of moonlight on a night he knows He cannot have the love he seeks As tears of passion wet his cheeks In shadows on a night of bliss Two lips are waiting to be kissed A face that I will never find Just wild dreams within my mind There is no lover such as this There’s no one waiting to be kissed Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (edited 10-25-2000).] |

Liz, I could simply read you all morning long, my friend. The lyrical qualities in your work simply soothe my mind, and the sentiments ... just lovely. This is a shining example. Beautifully written. Best wishes, /Kit |

Elizabeth~ Charismatic phrases of delight Wend their way on dreams of night Often unseen on morning dawned What waking thoughts on dreaming spawned *You STILL inspire me ! Thank you for this lovely penning. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Someday, in a distant mist, A hand will reach out, draw you close, complete the kiss. Patience my dear, it will come for you, loved your poem. Ron |
