Beyond the Glare Lay open your soul, as birth is given to blood. In the crimson wash of its arrival...a new voice is heard. So love should peal away the curtain, finding its pulse in hold of the breast to which its nurtured. A trust beyond the glare of the sun's brilliance, a stronghold of the passions you claim...rise up, and fan the embers! Stand in sight of all those who have gone before, and those who wait to drink. Your life is a candle...against whose flame no breeze will prosper. © Robert Joseph ~enb~ |

Robert, This was amazing. So soft and filled with lovely images. Wonderful work. Lone Wolf Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

Robert Joseph(poet extraordinare), this has a renaissance flare to it (in all meanings of the word). Although the last stanza encompassed the capital energy, this verse held unto me: So love should peal away the curtain, finding its pulse in hold of the breast to which its nurtured Exceptional, inspiring piece. Thank you! ~ Beth |
