Every Soul on Earth For every soul upon the earth There is a true intrinsic worth No matter race or place of birth For every soul upon the earth For every child beneath God’s sky There is an unsung lullaby A love that should not be denied For every child beneath God’s sky For every single rose that blooms There’s pleasure that the heart consumes And fragrance of a sweet perfume In every single child that blooms For every man there is a face That merits dignity and grace Regard for his own private space Among all men his honored place For every deed, for every word The messages are clearly heard From every single mockingbird Sweet messages are always heard For every heart, for every dream There is a need for self esteem And value in the hopes that stream From every heart and moonlit gleam There is a need to recognize The sentiments behind the eyes That suffering in silence lies Behind the face, behind the eyes For every soul, for every birth God lights a path to heaven from earth And deems a true intrinsic worth To every soul upon this earth Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (edited 10-26-2000).] |

Lizzy...this is enormous. Powerful thoughts - almost too powerful to confine to verse. But you have done it so well. There is a need to recognize The sentiments behind the eyes That suffering in silence lies Behind the face, behind the eyes I walk around feeling this often. And sometimes I just look at people wanting to KNOW how they are feeling at that very moment - it can be quite profound.
