"The Colour of Trust"

I often dream
in colour, you said
an amber hue
about your head
and as you took
my trembling hand
your own the shade
of warming sand
I felt the glow
of midnight sky
descend its drape
round you and I

Welcome to Passions! What a great start, nothing is more beautiful in poetry than color....

Rainydays,

Welcome to our little family.

This was a lovely start.  Looking forward to seeing more of your work here.

Rainydays welcome to Passions.  Trust is very important in a relationship...it can open many doors...a lack of trust can close those doors tight...James

Irish Rose, thank you for the nice welcome. You're right! Poetry allows us a venue for displaying that colour, doesn't it?

Elizabeth, thank you, also, for such a warm welcome. I am glad to be here. (smiling)

Denise, oh my what a lovely gesture your greeting is! Thank you so much for that...how absolutely cool!

Marge, thank you so much. I think I'm going to really enjoy it here, and I certainly appreciate your hospitality!

Aimster, hi and thank you! I was trying to tiptoe in! Thanks for such a sweet welcome!

Sven, oh yes I agree with you. Dreaming in colour seems to be much more memorable, at least to me. Thank you for the kind welcome.

Lone Wolf, thank you! I am looking forward to reading and sharing with you all too!

James, how true! And a trust betrayed is worst of all, in my opinion. Thank you for taking time to welcome me! I am glad to be here!

Hope it was okay to "speak" to everyone in a list...thanks so much to ALL!

and a big Balladeer welcome, too, poet. This is proof positive that it's not the quantity of the words....it's the quality. This poem is excellent...

WELCOME TO PASSIONS!!!!!!!  What a wonderful verse from you....anyone that can see and paint the color of trust must be penning with an eagle feather quill and that makes you "COOL" in my book.  Look forward to reading more from you.  I know that you will love it here.
