lady of the night
lost forever to the wind
his heart sighs again

lady of the night
her song is no longer heard
lost in autumn leaves

lady of the night
will he ever hear her heart?
or has winter come?

lady of the night
has winter come to your heart?
sing to me again

Sven, your haikus are very well done. Sad, but a good read.

Sven, this is pure romance, and man, do I love to read those romantic poems, thank you!

Mmm, lovely. Nostalgic and darling. Particularly liked this stanza:

lady of the night
has winter come to your heart?
sing to me again

...wonderful.

Oh, and a side note: 5-7-5 stanzas that do not directly deal with with nature are actually considered Senyrus... just letting ya know  .

Elizabeth, thank you. . . I wasn't sure if these were haiku or senryu. . . but I guess you could look at them either way. . . which is why I changed the title. . . thanks. . .

Sven

methinks this lady
comes in the shadows
entreating you, follow

for her heart is thine
thee knows this well
as you've cast thy spell

now sing, Sire, sing
her song is your heart
hear this love ring...

I could understand your double appelation - as when I read 'lady of the night' I thought senryu but the seasonal references - made me see haiku
so I decided after the last "who cares? they're beautiful!"

Lady of the day
a heart thawing in daylight
singing once again.

I love Haikus Sven, this was well written.  Applause!!

Sven~
Extremely well-written senryu's.

You do these very nicely with a lovely
bringing of thoughts.

Enjoyed and hope to see more.

Sven, I especially enjoyed the imagery of the seasons. I find myself wondering what will the Spring embrace....

Thanks!
