I lite a candle today
And got down on my knees to pray
I asked the heavenly father above
To watch over someone I love
We have been through so much through the years
Joy and laughter and the shedding of tears
I wouldn't change a thing from our past
For those are memories that will last
She has been there for me when I needed her most
That the years have drawn us so very close
No matter how far away we are
If I needed her now she would jump right in her car
The Lord up above
Knows who I speak of
But wanted to tell her of this love
I thank the Lord up above
For giving me the best
I hold you above the rest
My sister My Friend.

Very moving poem Cheryl, she meant so much to you. I am certain she is in good care up above in the Heavens in God's home. Take it easy.

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

I've been looking for something like this for a while now.  I have so many sisters, it is hard for me to send only one a poem. LOL! I would have to write several to accomplish the wonderful task of expressing myself to them.  I enjoyed this very much!

I have a friend that is like a sister to me
and a sister that is like a friend to
me...both situations make this poem even
more beautiful to me and your message and
love of your sister are heard clearly and
strongly here....excellent work~
