Ah, misfortune of the heart
for that we so often have a glimpse
to see the inner workings of others
and find slim solice for our own.
Yet I have seen more than my share
wondering at times, for fortune have me
shall my heart go unheard,
my love simply fly away.
Woman dream the hearts folly
as though they have contract,
thinking men some foolish creature
of nothing passionate nor secure.
But passion rules me, truely
my own battles met with promise
to falter swiftly as I open
for a hearts mummer that awakens me.
Yet as seperation takes hold
my memories of a touch, a kiss, a hold
allowing me my tears that cleanse,
knowing that one day shall surely come.
So men do not weep? Do not feel?
have at us with small tangles of anger
and we too drop our walls,
letting in a light we hope shall guide.

Yep, men are human beings with feelings too...sometimes we women forget that beneath the brave, strong exterior there lies a heart as easily broken as our own. Well stated, Michael!

Michael, I have always believed that men are at least as easily hurt as we are. But lately, I think they are not quite as emotional. Or loving. Sure seems that way in my life, anyway.
All poets of the forum excluded, because if a man is a poet, he must have a heart that makes him write, as do I.
Peace.

If only everyone would understand words like this. . . and not dismiss the fact that some men hold on to things. . . dreams. . . hopes. . . friends. . .

Excellent my friend. . . I hope that you've shared this. . .
