Our Greatest Hero

  Daddy raised me from the age of two
     He was the greatest man I ever knew.
     He accepted unconditional love
     Now he watches over from heaven above.
     He did his best to raise us right
     He held us when we cried in the night.
     He taught us to be strong and kind
     Encouraged us to expand our mind.
     There were times he had to be tough
     And we knew when he'd had enough.
     Daddy is an angel now up above
     But I still feel his guidance and his love.
     We love you daddy, rest in peace
     Your love and memories will never cease.
     And somehow we hope that you know
     That you will always be our greatest hero.

On the wings of words our spirits fly, and our souls are free.

I had to tell my mama fairwell a few years ago... Dad is still around but does not wish it so... I think you got a lot to say and I think you do it well...

Thanks Lucky, Dad passed away almost a year ago now, and I wrote this the night that he died. Sometimes I think we don't realize just how wonderful they are, and all that they gave until they are gone...but I always knew Dad was pretty special. Thanks.
