Sparks

Attraction can happen in an instant.
Your eyes meet
And something passes between you -
A look, a spark, a promise
Of pleasures still to come.
But some things are learned with time -
Things like caring and trust.
They can't be rushed
But will grow slowly through sharing
Of secrets and sorrows
And dreams of tomorrow
And promises fulfilled.

I love sparks when eyes meet
Sometimes they just become a
moment of fantasy though!!
But sparks like that are wonderful as well
.

Those first sparks are always the best aren't they.  When all else in the world just sort of disappears and the heart begins to search for the perfect song.  Wonderful write.  A beginner you say????  Not likely

Its true the 'sparks' are great on that initial attraction, but if only they could stay as a relationship matures.

Thanks for the poem Poet's Sister.
