It Feels So Good

It used to hurt
When I saw you with another
I used to care-
a lot

It used to make me cry
When we had yet another fight
I used to get so mad-
so frustrated

It used to make me happy
To be the one on your arm
I used to be so proud-
to be your girlfriend

I used to love you
Or at least I thought I did
With my everything-
body included

I used to think you
Were the one
That you were meant for me-
for eternity

I realized one day
That I was living in the past
And I needed to move into the future
And the future-
It feels GOOD

)

Time flies? Say it not so, time stays we go.

Wow, amazingly positive work coming here, I wish I knew what it felt like, but I can't even get the first part of finding someone who cares for me right . I guess we all get there in the end . Great poem, you have expressed a most joyous experience, nice job .

Hey, Cuddlez! Good to see you around here again! Congrats on 'moving on.' It seems to be the hardest thing to do, especially for us poets, who feel everything so deeply. Great poem!!
