Songs of trumpeted angels in our hearts

and allure of jasmine teases our lips

the solace night unfolds its petals

as we embrace with limbs of our love

The opalescence of the crescent moon

haunts ancient mission bells as they toll

under the blanket of stars, you and I

our last night together, a memory

A memory of your eyes of ocean blue

your voice whispers your love to me

our last night of sweet jasmine, let it be

trumpeted angels in our hearts, play on

The moon and jasmine nights could be ours

but the ancient mission bells toll adieu

I enjoy the imagery of this poem, the romance of the jasmine night, the stars, the moon, and the ancient mission bells all woven together into a gentle farewell...James

Victoria, one word after the other, peeling back the curtain...you give us a glance into a world of romantic bliss. A lovely read.
