Life - You aren’t just a four letter word |

Life – You aren’t a four letter word, You just are not what you seem, You are not as straight as I thought, You are crooked like the spiral that goes round… Like there’s no day without the night, No joy without pain, No rose without thorns, No calm without storm, No white without black, No light without dark, No heaven without hell, You are like the kite that doesn’t fly without a string… Life, Life, Life – You aren’t just a four letter word… There’s no love without hate, No plant without the seeds, No name without fame, No sound when it is silent, You know very well, That I can’t even leave you, For without you, I would be dead. Life – You are more than just a four letter word… Take each day as it comes, Consider each day as a flight, Try hard to succeed and fly, Surely then you will reach some height. But if by some chance you don’t, Remember that tomorrow will always come. Learn this well and learn this hard That today’s efforts will pay for tomorrow’s fun. A Crazy Monster, a.k.a Ski |

Indeed, life is a helluva lot more than a four letter word. Well expressed here! Love and hugs, Lizzie "Poetry is the true expression of my soul, it is my ultimate means of communication. It is my rainbow of delight." |

I find your poem to be very truthful. You have to have both the good & the bad, although it's not always wanted. Keep writing for a true poets hand never rests. |

Lots of thinking in this poem, hmmm, and you know what...I wonder if we would appreciate the writing experience as much if we didn't have writers block....ponder..ponder |
