Shimmering child I almost see as through a veil or mist of tears that certain magic of a young girls heart all love and hope and something more but like a vase of precious worth the world will shatter and tear apart this priceless thing without a thought into bits and pieces and shards that cut until rivulets of blood flow from your heart and from your face a single tear hangs suspended in mid-air and in the tear your eyes reflect the pain and sufferings of a thousand deaths I stand and watch why can`t scream to see the death of a young girls dream but God with rivers of tears he cries his pain so great that he must die and this I know and feel for sure that God created a heaven pure built of truth and love and innocence and flowers that bloom with ethreal scents and all that`s good and right endures and a young girls hearts the something more. Today I read again the poem my brother wrote for me a little over a year ago. Each time I read it, it always makes me cry. No one has ever known my heart like my brother, and he proves that with his words. Thank-you for caring for me when nobody else cared. It was the love of my brother and the Lord above that sustained me during my childhood years. I love ya Forrest (Butch to me)...... |

A very nice poem. I was there I understand it fully and it captures the pain of my sister and her early childhood. Good job Forrest. |
