Breast Cancer You Shall Never Stand Alone Your spirit gave of itself in my behalf time and again even though you too were in a diminished state. The bounty you have bestowed upon me has been as infinite as the stars, we have walked roads rutted by life’s bombs hand in hand never giving way to a fall for we knew we had our friendships strength. Now you are being tested once more but show such strength that I am in awe, but I already knew this about you for if your soul were a beacon many would see as I do the love you possess is as bright as a comet in the skies. This too you shall endure but not alone for I and all of those that have been blessed with the presence of your light shall be there just close your eyes and we shall come to you in love, for never my friend will you stand alone . By, Cerenity This morning I received several e-mails from a friend, two of them having to do with breast cancer. They were very touching stories so I saved them. About two hours later I received a call from a another friend informing me that she had breast cancer and would be going in tomorrow to the hospital. This is a very sad thing to have happen to someone you love, so I am asking all of you to maybe say a prayer in her behalf and in behalf of all who must go through this terrible decease. This is breast cancer awareness month and I have to say until now I did not know, but from this moment on I shall do everything I can to help those that must go through this. I feel sad that it took having a friend coming down with this to make me see how important it is to pay attention to life and give thanks for who shall never know what could be just around the corner. I think we have all been touched in some way by cancer. Women have some of the worst types specifically and that may be why its all the more tragic to see a female friend suffering from Breast or Uterine/Ovarian Cancer. Your tribute to your friend displays an emotional call we have all felt and continue to feel and I only hope that all of the women afflicted by this terrible disease know that they do not stand alone. |

Hi everyone, I am touch by your words, I have lived the past twenty years with a dabilitating decease and find that I let my life at times get eaten up by it, but when I heard her say that she had cancer something inside of me cryed out that no matter what I go through there is always someone else that I could help even in the place that I reside. My mind and heart are still intacted and I shall do what ever it takes to learn more of this decease for if to only share my knowledge and love for others this is a start. That you so much for caring, Cerenity |

Cerenity, I am so sorry to hear about your friend, and that you yourself are sick. I wish I had seen this before. But your poem was very nicely done and a great message of encouragement for your friend, and for anyone who has cancer. My prayers will be with you. God bless! Elizabeth I'm grabbing my hat and coat I'm leaving the cat a note Quick call me a ferry boat-getting out of town! |

Hi RainbowGirl, I have to say this is so strange for this one poem to come out in to the light. I have been very ill and she has been by my side even though she her self is in need of loving as well. The two of us can relate so good and understand each others needs perfectly. Both you and Elizabeth have made me happy very much by replying to this poem and I thank you so much. Cerenity: there a few of us who are going through the same thing or many of us who know someone who is, so it's doubly special for that as well.. HUGS If you have a minute, do a search on the authoress called Suthern for a poem called "Pink Ribbons"...I think you will like it but I can remember which Open forum it's in.. |
