The funny smell of air in spring
Brings a whiff of freshness into my nostrils,
The fleeting shadows with the light,
With the warm shine of summer sun.

As I often wait for morning to begin,
As I do for the winter to end
As I wait for the flowers to bloom,
And as I do for the grass to grow.

Instilling a new-found confidence,
Often perks up my prudence,
And I dance into the air of spring,
With a new spring in my steps.

So we always do Danny,

A frosty Winter yields a pleasant spring,
When the dogwood, she smiles , gives a ring...

thanks for reading,

Hi Sudhir!  Wonder how this one slipped
by -----)
Lovely   -- spring does bring such freshness
and a new bounce into one's step.
Sigh, now if it would only quit raining
LOL

it's like awakening from a restful sleep, the way Spring makes us feel.  What a wonderful interpretation, I enjoyed the first line about how Spring smells...so true.  I look forward to reading others from you.

Thanks Shilpi, for reading and posting your response...

Looks like spring is fleeting away now, and summer is breaking through....
