Positive From Negative ---------------------- When I woke up this morning, I saw it was Monday, felt like scorning, The groggy head, the dizzy feeling, Like a wet screaming toad jumping, In search of his own well, squirming, Like a terrible rat, scrambling, From the poison, running, Away from the truth, turning... Yet as I knew it became better, As the day went on to this time, I jump-started into a stutter, As the day carried forward its rhyme, A sweet melody that had been evoked, A tune ensued through my head, A parody of the heart, a music of the mind, From the pieces left over from the Saturday dead... As I came to work, cold and windy it was, As I reached my desk, holding my breath still, Anticipating what the day holds for me in store, Precipitating the wild thoughts of fear, Obnoxious though it may sound to the ear, I started my Monday with a rare cheer, "Oh, its just another Monday!" mondays have a definition all thier own, I usually have two ways of replying to a monday how are you....either "well its monday*....no smile or "not too bad for a monday" slight smile.....lol....either way, everyone knows just what I mean *s* great poem...loved your images |
