Moon Sail The moon was full and floating in a sea of clouds so soft it seemed it moved with swift breeze aft across white splaying froth A golden halo ‘round it formed in holy light displayed I knew it sailed with your delight for the vision was angel made If reverent sky beholds the dawn and leaves me longing thus for luna landscape ocean sky and memories painful thrust I understand this place was gleaned of scarlet sundown’s cast and ne'er will these eyes glimpse again the moon sail night of last. |

exquisite Martie...the moonlight pales in the glow of this beauty  very serene and pretty poem to read. take care, jm Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders And it makes me want to touch you there. And the light in your eyes makes me feel Like there's something much better out there Something kind... And I know someday I might be looking around Trying to find some purpose Well purpose it can't be that hard to find As long as I've got the wind... Nice,The rythym seems off center at times, but otherwise beautiful. You have powerful descriptive adjectives that could be made even more telling if paired with a definite underlying message.( Of course, it's your thoughts, so if it has an underlying message for you, then there is no problem.) |

Very nice Martie I didn't see any botany. There at least should of been at least a few moonlit flowers on shimmering deck. Ha! You know it's just fine the way it sits. They'd probably fall over with the waves and all. |
