LOL

where r u at

ROTFLMAO

What does it all mean?
Not philisophically
but literally.
What the hell are they saying?

What happened to English
when the pen and paper left?
What happened to beautiful words,
now that we're handwriting bereft?

Are we destined to live,
a life shortened to symbols?
Are we willingly diving to a hades,
of abbreviated keystrokes?

To be or not to be, that is the question.

Or is the question really:  2b or not 2b?

Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn.

This is GR8!
ThankU.  LOL

Really a good poem and the
question is a good one.

Seems like we keep
shortening our words and it takes
away the true meanings.

Thanks for spelling it out!

i liked it. it's nice to find a good satire in here every once in a while. kepps things jovial and jocular =)

my math teacher asked the class your question and gave an answer.

"To be or not to be? That is the question."

"2b. That is the answer."

Math teacher humor is pretty dry, i suppose.

We all got somethin' to atone for.

Actually Rosebud.  I was given the name JP by my wife, one day when asked how I was in bed, she replied "Just Perfect".... or was that "just pitiful"?  I always get that part mixed up....

Hey Nan, missed your loveliness...

What a subject to write a poem about! It takes talent to do that successfully! A great laugh, and oh-so-true! "Respekt!" A German would shout (I can't think of an appropriate English alternative right now, but I'm sure you get the drift!). Talking of Germany we have another problem here, and that is that everyone thinks it's cool to use English words instead of German ones whenever they can. Learning German will soon be a doddle!

My heart is pounding, my stomach's inside out
I'm feeling kind-a-shaky, my mind is full of doubt
All I ever think about, is fearing fear itself,
Wish I could unscrew my head and put it on the shelf
Everything is twisted, everything is oh so tight,
Don't know what I'm looking at, the lights are all too bright
My brain's about to crumble, spill out on the floor
Sweep 'em up. Throw 'em away, don't want 'em anymore
Clouds race across the sky, day turns into night,
Still there are the questions, no answers in sight
Everything is twisted, everything is oh so tight,
Starin' out the window, everything is just too bright
Brain's about to crumble, spill out on the floor,
Wish I could unscrew my head, and kick it out the door...
You know I'm feeling kind-a....Strange
You know I'm feeling kind-a....Strange

I know what you are saying. We live in keystroke kingdom where us fat cats chase the little mouse up and down the clock the quickest way possible. I think it's far removed from the natural basics of creativity. I can't put my finger on the difference exactly. There is some sour grapes here too, I am a poor typist. Maybe I should B in room 2B

My son's nickname is JP,
I thought this was sorely needed, I think expressing ourselves should be done with fine detail and completely spelled out in full sentences, this was a great reminder of that
