Blind Jamie was born blind from her very first day From what she’s heard of the world maybe its better that way She has never seen an act of violence, a trial, a friend in pain Never seen a commercial, a custody battle, a smear campaign Never seen a sunrise or a flower either A painting a sculpture neither Is it worth it to be blessed with sight? Or merely another human blight? |

Hey, liked the poem -- its sentiments -- though I think "blight" is too strong a word to end it on. Unless, of course, you're going for a misanthropic angle. Then it's all good. Mike (not misanthropic himself) |

WOW!!! Very thought provoking, I think it is worth it just to see the smile of a child or the beauty of a perfect sunset. Great first post Welcome to passion's, looking forward to reading more of your work All my love, Jeffrey I lie awake in a world filled with dreams, but dreams can be so real when you don't know you're asleep |

Very interesting poem. It has a ring of truth in it also. Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau" |
