If You Should Wander forth If you should ever wander forth Beyond the garden’s edge And leave this place of bounty love Where we have laid our heads Then I shall never wish to breathe The perfume of a rose Nor gather blossoms for my eyes Nor worship joy’s repose For life would vanish if you left This nest of Eden home This space profuse with radiant hues Below God’s azure dome Without your love, I’d never more Recline in petal's soft To study midnight canopies Of planets posed aloft If you should disappear one day Beyond the primrose hedge For want of just one wishful step Outside the garden’s edge I’d never care to turn an ear To warbler’s lullaby Nor would I raise my eyes again To wonders of the sky I’d never visit with a star Except to ask it why Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (edited 06-07-2000).] |

Elizabeth, I loved the flow in this work. The imagery was wonderful alos as was the thought so eloquently put forth of possible lost love. Very nice work. David2 |

Devine.....this is. Simply Devine!!! It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone. |

Roll, Roll, Roll, lady, you are on a roll, alright! Amazed by your subtlety in poetry, Dazzled by the luminousity of the light that you shed through your poetry divine, I watch these lines, stupefied, numbed, scratching my head, what I am doing here??? and I thought I could write.... Regards to you Liz, Great work, Sudhir. Hey you, out there in the cold, Getting lonely, getting old, can you feel me? Hey you, standing in the aisle, With itchy feet and fading smile, can you feel me? Hey you, don't help them to bury the light. Don't give in without a fight. Hey you, out there on your own, Sitting naked by the phone, would you touch me? Hey you, with your ear against the wall, Waiting for someone to call out, would you touch me? Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone? Open your heart, I'm coming home.... by Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) - The Wall |

Sudhir, I am so humbled by a writer such as you offering such praise. I don't know what to say except that these words were not composed by me but were written by God and happen to come out my pen.I know you know what I mean, because you often write the same way. Thank you, dear poet for your comments. Liz |

Liz - this poem reflects the beauty in you so very well. Everything you write seems... right. Its getting to where I can't comment on anything you put to pen without sounding repetitious - Do you see all the trouble you're causing me??? |

Should the rose petals outside your door fade and fall to earthen floor never fear. For the passing of the rose is God's choosing and He chose, so never fear. For love and rose will bloom forth again which gives reason and verse to your pen. So never fear. ~~~~~~~~ Small, albeit heartfelt tribute to what you do so beautifully, Elizabeth. Thank you.
