Welcome aboard the ship of marridge the chaplin chirped You may kiss the bride, I waited then sealed my marridge with a solitary kiss Unbeknown to me, the jailer silently manacled the ball and chain around my ankle, hot rivits sparked as the hammer fell. Days became years, love died its death through routine Kiss is just a kiss the record blared, indeed thats all it became. Other women crossed my path, casting their shadows of beauty across my soul Why oh why me? Yes my love was strong, and the hours long she left Mr perfect for fedelity. I tried to keep my ball and chain I tried in vien The Jailer saw the pain inside he set me free...... -Rich- [This message has been edited by Slashed soul (edited 06-06-2000).] |
