As the confusion begins to set in I know not whether I deserve it Could I have done something to prevent the break Or did I give until it was all I could take No one truly knows what went wrong I must have just lost strength when I thought I was strong Did I deserve to have my emotions destroyed Or was it all just to serve a point Who really knows what was meant by this strife What doesn't kill me can only lead to my demise I have begun to actually savor the pain Instead of being killed I was brutally maimed The permanent damage is what I fear the most The memories of my past days, are as transparent as a ghost I no longer know if I can love again I no longer know if my heart will mend Just when I think I have found someone new I destroy my chances almost as soon I hate the way I am present tense The stones I have placed make an unpentratable defense No matter how long I try There will always be a part of me I hide All because of the one that said she "loved me" No longer will I be so trusting |

Once bitten is twice shy...this is filled to the brim with pain, Rhavin. Good luck to you... Elizabeth And this I say to you: why? Why? Just tell me why, so I can understand. Why? |

Ouch so sad. Lovely poem -- time does heal these things, and trust comes back amazingly enough --- Hard to tell someone that when they are filled with pain, but it is true. ~netswan |

Ravin, So sorry for your pain. Out there somewhere, there is another who's been hurt just like you, to find and bring comfort one to another will be my prayer for you. marcy |
