"Fear" I can feel it rise deep from within the recesses of my brain way back there where I pushed it aside long ago in my soul. Every now and then it comes again like a forgotten enemy from a long fought war. One raged when young and halted when older. Where battle scars are on the inside of the emotional interior of my heart. You can not see them but they are there. Ever present, even though they have had time to heal. Just like tonight When I saw the cold stare in two strange man's eyes. The fear came again. Pounding within my chest burning with such fever knotting my stomach until I was nauseous. I had thought I had conquered it! Thought it to be long dead! Yet, there it was. My fear of rape. [This message has been edited by Cyndey (edited 06-05-2000).] |

God bless you "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight For the ends of Being and ideal Grace." Elizabeth Barrett Browning |

What makes a man put this kind of fear into a woman? Very touching poem Cyndey. Hope every man doesn't scare you like this... |
