I am of solitaire

In the comfort of my
      not so comfortable
chair, in this tiny
     cold cluttered room,
windy howls and
        talk about on the ABC
            broadcast interrupts
        my thoughts
   I glare at my shadow
      projected upon the
                     bland wall
      no face or expression
               but  the strands of my hair
                   jutting out flimsy
          gossamer-like strands

of dry-stone
   built without mortar I'm weak

        only my shadow is solid
    existing
          without feeling
               oh how I yearn to
       be that shadow
                  where blood flows
               not through me
        or over me
  skinless and without pain

a jewel delicately set
     into this argent world
to sparkle and shine…
        but I am of
              solitaire…..

                      alone.

This is so aesthetically pleasing to the eye and tucked in among the bends ... the haunting refrain .. 'alone'.
