In the space between moments

Patchouli wafts on gentle wing
Fragrance flowing with the sea
A lady draped in lavender light
Drifts softly with her memories.

Moonlight glints off amber locks
That fall among her tears
Eyes cast down to Pluto’s realm
Lay entombed in shadowed fear.

Beauty is brushed throughout the sky
But to love her heart is blind
Drenched in darkness lays her soul
And no forever can she find.

Seraph whispers float on high
As her thoughts rest with the sea
For there within his watery grave
Lay her cherished memories.

The tide reaches to touch the face
Of the lady draped in light
Among the sprays she hears his voice
And soon he is in sight.

The image fades in moment’s time
As the water’s softly churn
An eternity she will cry for him
And for his tender love yearn.

So with a sigh she silently falls
Into the darkly coated sea
For there among the inky waves
With her love she can be.

Ooooh... I liked this one Krista!  So dark with such a despairing end (in my mind that's not the answer...)  I loved the line like "Lay entombed in shadowed fear." and well the word "Seraph" is just awesome.  Great poem Krista!

Krista*~

That was a beautiful poem.  You just seem to be getting better and better.   "Moonlight glints off amber locks.."  that's awesome...
Now what inspired you to write this poem?   great job.
